To start things off, here are a couple of my recent cards.
This simple card uses the stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink's Bloomer set. I just love this set of stamps and dies. So many different ways to use it. I am not the best stamper in the world, so solid stamps like parts of these flowers scare me a little. I'm a messy, artist type so perfect things aren't always in my wheelhouse. Stamping is stretching me a little bit, and it's good. Of course, now I want to start designing my own stamps again, with coordinating dies this time! We shall see. For now I am just creating to create.
I think I mentioned I am taking a class from online card classes (love these classes) about Copic markers. Here is my first practice sheet. I started collecting Copics a couple years ago but never really learned how to use them. As you can see, I have a ways to go... But, coloring is so theraputic. I even bought a new set of colored pencils, to add to my doodle regime. I haven't tried them yet, so I'll let you know how I like them when I do.
I'll end today with a sneak peek of a map I painted to go with my sister's wedding invitations. This is the original, without the text. The final card is 4 X 4, and I am so happy with it. I haven't done many wedding invitations, but when I have they've been a little nerve-racking. Anyway, after I get clearance from her I will share both the invite and the map.
