on my radar - backpacks

Almost exactly a year ago I saw backpack #1 from Herschel Supply Co.  Can't remember where I saw it, but I just loved it.  Being a soccer/dance mom I've considered buying a backpack ever since.  Backpacks are just so practical, even if you aren't a soccer/dance mom.  I would use it in lieu of a purse, especially on those soccer/dance occasions when I have 1,000 other things to carry.  Here are a few that I have my eye on:

1.  Herschel Supply Co. 'Settlement Mid Volume' Backpack.  Love this one.  It comes in lots of colors, but I'd go bold and get the camo/blue/red.  Life is short.

2.  Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Domo Ariagoto' Backpack.  Domo Ariagoto means "thank you so much."  And would say, "No, thank you Mr. Jacobs.'  This backpack is classy, yet still a little sporty and the perfect size (12 X 17 X 4).  There's a Mr. Roboto joke there somewhere, but I'll let it go...

3.  Longchamp 'Le Pliage' Backpack.  You had me at Longchamp.  The only downside to this one is the size, it might be a little small depending on how you are going to use it.  If you're leaning more to a purse, it's perfect.

4.  Chris Vanveghal Minimal Ruffsack. I love this bag.  Beautiful, simplistic design.  It's like wearing a piece of art on your back.  And you don't have to be a cool hipster to carry this bag, you can be a dorky soccer mom like me.

5.  MCM 'Medium Stark - Visetos' Studded Logo Print Backpack.  For all of you instagrammers, MCM does not stand for "Man Crush Monday."  In this case it stands for Modern Creation München.  You can read about them here.  Ok, I get it.  This one is a little pricey.  Do you really need a backpack that costs over $700?  The answer is yes, yes you do.  Especially a backpack as cool and beautiful as this one (it has gold studs on the sides!).  I really love this cognac color as well.

6.  Sole Society Faux Leather Backpack.  For all the vegans in the house.  Or non-vegans.  This bag has great details, like the braided zipper pulls and think the top handle makes it an incredibly versatile bag.  And you can beat the price ($59.95).
