On my radar
Here are a couple things that have caught my eye recently...
Chambray jumpsuits. I recently bought this one from Old Navy. Haven't worn it yet, but I think it will be a versatile piece for the spring/summer. Here is an article from Redbook magazine about how any body type can wear a jumpsuit. So read the article and go out and buy one.

I love this work space. I'm itching to paint my studio and everything in it white. But that would mean I'd have to clear everything out, and that's probably not happening (I have a colossal mess).

Hash browns are one of my favorite foods. And this recipe looks so simple, yet amazingly delicious.

I love everything about this dresser and styling, but most of all I love the painting. The entire house is incredible.

I had my first Negroni last weekend at our favorite neighborhood restaurant. It was delicious. I'm now itching to make one myself and when I do I think this recipe sounds amazing.

I started watching the HBO hit "Girls" last year. When it first came out I had no interest in it and honestly don't remember why I decided to give it a shot, but I am glad I did. I finished season 5 on Monday. IT WAS SO GOOD. Also who doesn't love a show set in New York?

On my radar - Style Crush
I mean really, is there anyone more stylish than Iris Apfel? I don't think so. At 94 years old she remains the ultimate fashion icon. Along with her amazing sense of style, I love her words. Here are several of my favorite looks and inspiring quotes from this amazing woman. Enjoy.

"When you don't dress like everyone else, you don't have to think like everyone else."

"I don't have any rules because I would only be breaking them."

"You have to be interested. If you're not interested, you can't be interesting."

"If you're not comfortable in your own skin, you won't be comfortable in your own clothes."

And my personal favorite:
"More is more and less is a bore."

Creative Monday - Watercolor
It seems like I constantly shift back and forth between acrylic and watercolor, right now watercolor is winning. Here are a couple paintings I completed last week.
The first painting is just a sketch. The bottom two are available in my shop here.
This is what the bottom painting would look like framed:

Watercolor garden
This painting was commissioned by a couple for their wedding invitation. This is their beautiful garden, and where the wedding will take place. As well as using the painting for the invitation, they are going to mat the painting and use it as their guest book. I am always honored when someone uses my work in something as important as their wedding. I've designed entire wedding invitations packages, from the save the date cards to the thank you cards. And I always enjoy being a small part in a couple's big day.

Inspiration Friday - California on my mind
Today I am sharing three homes in Northern California that I cannot seem to get off my mind. The first is featured in Country Living and the last two are featured in Elle Decor. The first house makes me think less is more, the second is definitely filed under "more is more" and the third I would love to live in.
This little house started out as an 88-square-foot laundry room. Amazing. You can see more photos here.

According to this Elle Decor article this is one of San Francisco's finest houses. I had the amazing opportunity to live in this area and can almost picture where this house is located. The reconstruction is incredible and breath taking. You can read more about it here.

And finally this last house is an 19th-century summer camp converted to a family home. I could stare at the living room for hours. You can see more of the interior here.

Make it a double...

On my radar - fringe sandals
If you are on the look-out for a dressier pair of summer sandals, I would highly recommend any of these beauties. I can't really get into the other fringe items that seem to be gaining popularity right now: handbags, vests, dresses etc. But fringe on sandals? I'll take one of each...
1. Marc Fisher
2. Sole Society
3. Louise et Cie
4. Seychelles
5. Kate Spade
6. Loeffler Randal

Creative Monday - latest landscapes
Apparently I took a month long blogging break, but I'm back. Here are my latest landscape paintings (12 X 12, acrylic on canvas). Enjoy! And as always they are available in my shop.
