Creative Monday - cards, birds & paintings

I have lots of cards to share today.  I think I mentioned last week that I am participating in the 30 day coloring challenge.  I am enjoying participating in this challenge and looking at the work the other artists are doing.  It really is amazing what people can create with just markers.  I'm not very skilled at it, but I love trying something new and doing something just for fun.  Here are the first four cards I made for the challenge.

This card is inspired by a technique Jennifer McQuire shared this week.  She calls it, "Distress Ink Lifting."  She used a stamped image, but I drew my own flower with a versamark marker and then heat embossed with white embossing power.  Not 100% successful, but ok for my first go at the technique.

These are birds from the outdoor show I was in last May.  I gave these to my step-mom for her birthday and my dad made them into a mobile.  These Nebraska birds are so happy to be in sunny Southern California, especially in February!

This is a painting I finished a week or so ago.  This is landscape #20, 12 X 12 acrylic on canvas.  Available for sale here.

And now I am off to work on this painting and maybe even finish it.  Hope your week is off to a good start.
